Kumihimo bracelet with faceted beads Inspi485
Kumihimo bracelet with faceted beads
Wow, wow WOW! What a beautiful bracelet this is, and so easy to make yourself! For this bracelet, a Kumihimo disc is used, a tool from Japan that is used to braid threads. This versatile disc can also be used in combination with beads, like in this bracelet. The use of faceted beads is really perfect for this technique, these beads fall nicely together and give a beautiful shiny finish.

How to make it
You start by cutting 8 pieces of wire. You tie a knot in that and hang it through the kumihimo disc, then divide the threads. You do the threads to the left and right of the following numbers, 1, 9, 17, 25. Then you take the thread to the left of the 1, and place it to the bottom, to the left of number 17. Then you take the thread to the right of the 17 and place it to the top next to the 1. Then you turn the kumihimo disk and quarter and keep repeating these steps until you have made 1cm of kumihimo. The next step is to add the beads. Then again you use the same technique as before only add a bead with each operation. To finish this bracelet, glue a magnetic clasp to the end of the bracelet.
