How to Make Waxed Cord Bracelets with Charms
Really fun and very easy to make! These wax cord bracelets can be made in many different ways because of our wide range of charms and colors of cord that we have. Of course you can also make them with other types of cords, but you may need larger end caps and/or beads.
To thread the waxed cord through the spacer bead first use scissors to cut the thread in a point and burn it carefully with a lighter, so it will not fray. 4 Cords of 1mm will just fit but it is a bit of a fiddly job, after threading 1 bead you will have to cut a point again and burn it.
Cut 4 strands of waxed cord, trim the ends and thread a spacer bead, a splitring with your favorite charm and another spacer bead. Now cut the cords to the right wrist length and glue an end cap to both ends. Use a 4mm jumpring to attach a lobster clasp to one end and an extension chain to the other. Further embellish your bracelet with additional charms or a cluster of homemade charms made from faceted beads.
