Making Super Duo Bead Flower Set
This fun set is complete with a necklace, earrings and a ring! You can easily make it yourself with our handy Super duos.
Ring:
View the image for additional explanation if needed. Actually, the technique is the same for all items. You start by cutting approx. 40cm of c-lon thread and thread it through the needle. Now thread 5 duo beads and the gold bead in the middle. Go back through the first duo bead and thread 3 new duo beads. Go through the 5th duo bead and back through the gold bead again. Insert your needle all the way around again. Now move your needle to the top hole of a duo bead. Thread 1 gold miyuki seed bead between each duo bead. When you have added a seed bead everywhere, move your needle back to the bottom hole of the duo bead. Make this round until you reach the other end of the C-lon. Make a normal knot and then a knot where you pass 2x through the loop. Pull it tight and put a little glue on it. If necessary, hide the knot in a duo bead. Let this dry well and take the ring. Put enough glue on the circle of the ring and stick the duo bead flower on it. Let this dry so that the flower doesn't slide off and then your ring is finished!
Earrings:
For the earrings, the first steps are the same as described above. For the earrings, make 2 flowers and use the blue seed beads for this as well. Now open a stainless steel 4mm jumpring and put it through the top hole of a duo bead. Be careful not to break the c-lon thread. Now cut 2 equal pieces off the stainless steel chain (we chose 2x 6 links with 1 tube bead in the middle). Attach another jumpring to the end and close it. Now thread the jumpring around the earring and then the earrings are ready too!
Necklace:
In the black & white mix, there are frosted white beads as well as shiny white beads. For the necklace, we alternated the flowers with these, starting with a frosted flower. Again, you first make the flowers as described at the beginning. We use 5 of them (2 shiny white and 3 frosted white). Attach the flowers together by attaching a jumpring through the top hole of the duo bead. Cut 2x a piece of chain of about 15cm and attach the flowers to this chain using a 4mm jumpring. Finally, attach a lobster clasp and an extension chain and then the necklace is also finished!
