Bracelet, Earrings and Necklace of Garnet
Garnets are gemstones that come in a variety of colors, ranging from the deep red - for which they are best known - to orange, yellow, green, pink and purple. Garnet stimulates creativity, courage and inner strength, and helps you work faster and more efficiently.
For this jewelry set, we use the green and red garnet for a beautiful color combination. For the entire set, 1 strand of both beads will be sufficient. Follow the following instructions below to make this set yourself.
Earrings
Start by making all the charms for the earring. Make 14 charms with the red garnet. For these charms, thread 1 red garnet bead each on a headpin with ball. Then make 5 charms with the green garnet beads. Thread 5 garnet beads onto a headpin with ball (note: these beads can only fit the headpin with ball, they will not fit other headpins). See below the video on how to twist the perfect eye. With the green garnet, you have to do this carefully so the beads don't break. Optionally, you can thread only 4 beads so you have more room to turn the eyelet.
Attach a green garnet charm to a red garnet charm, by bending the eyelet open and attaching it to the charm. Thread all charms on the earring, this fits best through the back of the earring. Thread as 2nd charm a garnet charm with green garnet and distribute the other charms a bit over the earring.
Repeat all the steps for the other earring and then they are ready to be worn!

The Necklace
Begin by making 11 spacer beads. To do this, use the headpins with a flat bottom. Cut this flat piece from the headpin and twist an eyelet. Now thread a red garnet bead and twist a connecting eye. You do this by using the video above. If you do this right, you now have: an eye, a garnet bead and another eye. Now make a long row of 9 spacer beads crocheted together. Attach an oval insert to each end of this row, by bending open the eyelet and attaching the oval insert to it. Attach a loose garnet inter-set to both oval inter-sets. The row then looks like this: 1 garnet inter-set - 1 oval inter-set - 9 garnet inter-sets - 1 oval inter-set - 1 garnet inter-set.
Now cut the necklace as follows: 2x a piece of about 15cm and 1x a piece of 28cm. Attach the 15cm piece to the outer garnet insert. Do the same on the other side with the 2nd piece of 15cm. Attach the clasp and extension chain to both ends of the chain. Use a 4mm jumpring for this purpose.
Now cut 20cm of the nylon wire. Thread a pinch bead and go through the bottom eye of the 1st garnet inter-set. By this I mean in the 1st interstice that is attached to the row of 9 interstices and the oval interstice. Pass your nylon wire back through the pinch bead and pinch it with flat-jaw pliers. Now thread 3 green garnet beads and then a gold miyuki delica. Repeat this pattern 24x and thread a pinch bead. Again, pass the nylon wire through the bottom eye of the 9th spacer bead. Go back through the pinch bead and tighten. Pinch the snap on bead and cut off the remaining nylon wire. Now open a snap on and attach the charm to the green garnet necklace.
For the final layer of this necklace, attach the 30cm piece to both oval middles. Use a 4mm jumpring for this. Now we are going to make the charm. Use a staple pin with flat bottom. Cut off this flat piece and twist an eye. now thread 1x a red garnet bead - 2x a gold miyuki bead - 1x a red garnet bead. Turn a connecting eye. Attach this to a new oval spacer by twisting both eyelets open a bit and attaching it to the oval spacer. On one side, attach a 4mm jumpring and a snap on. Make a charm with the green garnet as described with the earrings. Attach it to the 4mm jumpring where the snap on is attached and hook it to the chain. Your necklace is now ready!

Bracelet
Cut 2x a 5cm piece of chain. Use a piece of about 20cm of nylon wire and thread a pinch bead. Pass through the link of 1 of the chains with the nylon wire. Put this nylon thread back through the pinch bead and make both ends of the nylon thread equal, as we are going to thread on 2 threads later. Pinch the pinch bead with flat beak pliers and start threading 1 red garnet bead and 1 gold miyuki delica. Repeat this pattern until you have threaded 5 red garnet beads. Now thread another pinch bead and pass both ends through the link of the 2nd piece of chain. Go back through the pinch bead again, pull this and secure the pinch bead with flat-jaw pliers.
Now cut 2x a piece of chain of about 14cm. Attach a 4mm jumpring to both ends. Attach the bracelet with the garnet beads also to these jumprings. Finally, we are going to make the green garnet bracelet. Cut a piece of nylon wire of about 20 cm. Thread a pinch bead and go with the nylon wire around the 4mm jumpring that the other pieces of the bracelet are already attached to. Attach it next to the piece with the red garnet. Go back through the pinch bead with the nylon wire and pinch it with flat-jaw pliers. Now thread 3 green garnet beads - 3 gold miyuki beads - 3 green garnet beads - 1 gold miyuki bead. Repeat this 8x total. Then thread 3 more green garnet beads and 3 gold miyuki beads. also finish this side with a pinch bead and attach this to the other 4mm bead. Note: make sure you attach the strand in the same place, so also next to the piece with the red garnet beads.
