Bracelet, Earrings and Necklace of Labradorite
This beautiful handmade Labradorite jewellery set exudes mystical charm. The set consists of an elegant necklace, bracelet and earrings. Labradorite is known for its protective and strengthening properties, which not only makes this set a stylish accessory, but also gives it a deeper meaning. Perfect for both everyday outfits, special occasions or as a gift for a loved one.
The necklace:
Start by cutting two pieces of steel wire to size for the beaded strands. Make sure these are slightly longer than the desired final length. Next, cut three equal pieces of labradorite jasseron chain; make sure they are exactly the same length for a nice symmetrical result.
Thread the beads onto both threads. Attach a crimp bead to both ends of the strands, making sure to leave an eyelet at each end. You will use these eyelets to attach the strands to one side of a locket charm using jumprings.
On the other side of the locket you attach the three jasseron chains, again using jumprings. Check carefully that the chains hang evenly in relation to the beaded strands. Finally, at the ends of both the chains and the beaded strands, attach a clasp, such as a toggle clasp, to finish off the necklace in a stylish way.
Used materials:
Natural gemstone beads, we used Labradorite Rough Gemstone
Screw Lock, we used the carabiner with Zirconia
Faceted Beads, we used the Red Shine
Gemstone Necklace, we used Labradorite with Glass Bead
Stainless Steel toggle Clasp
Bracelet:
You can use the drawing for this. The threading technique is the same, except that we use three different beads for this bracelet and only one in the drawing.
Cut a piece of C-Lon thread about twice the desired length of the bracelet, plus some extra for knotting. Thread a suitable needle onto the thread - make sure it fits through the beads. Start by threading four red beads, followed by a labradorite bead. Repeat this pattern until you reach the desired length.
Once the whole length is threaded, use the needle to thread back through labradorite bead and thread four miyuki beads each time. Keep following this pattern until you reach the beginning again. Tighten the thread as you go, so that the pattern fits nicely and stays firmly in place.
Close the bracelet with a firm knot and use some jewellery glue for extra strength. Then attach a lobster clasp to one end and a jumpring to the other.
