How to make a Leather Wrapping Bracelet with Miyuki Seed Beads

This colorful bracelet is easy to make yourself. Through our wide assortment of Miyuki Seed beads 6/0, put together the most beautiful color combinations!

Start by cutting 3 equal pieces of the leather. Use all the leather from the bag to do this. Hold the ends together and attach the end cap with some glue. Wait until this end cap is securely attached and then start braiding a normal braid. Braid a piece of about 1.5 - 2cm and clip this piece under the clip on the clipper board. Now thread the beads on all 3 strands.
For a bracelet that goes 3x around your wrist, thread about 30 beads per strand. For a bracelet that goes around your wrist 2x, thread about 19 beads per strand. Make a loose knot at the bottom of each strand that you can take out later. This knot keeps the beads from falling off.

If you are using a mix bag, it is best to sort them. For the pink bracelet, I chose 1 color for the first strand, 1 color for the 2nd strand and threaded the remaining 3 colors alternately on the 3rd strand. This way you avoid having the same colors next to each other.

Now you can continue braiding, adding a bead to your braid when you cross over the middle strand with the right thread. Make sure the bead actually goes over the middle thread and then slide it up so it connects. Now braid the left thread over the new middle thread, securing the bead, so to speak. Continue braiding until you have used all the beads and braid another 1.5 - 2cm without beads. Hold the thread together and cut off the remaining piece. Put some glue in the end cap again and attach it over the end of the bracelet. Wait until it is completely dry and then attach the lobster clasp and the extension chain through the jumprings.

And then your bracelet is ready to be worn!

For the pink bracelet, replace the above Miyuki seed beads and leather with: Miyuki seed beads 6/0 pink party and DQ leather 1mm red brown.
