How to make a Bracelet Set with Satin Cord
You can easily make these cute bracelets yourself! Because of our wide range of satin cord, you can make a nice color combination yourself.
The braided bracelet
Start by cutting off approx. 40cm of satin cord. 1x grayish green and 2x dark green. Make a knot with all 3 strands and keep 10cm free to attach the sliding knot to. Then start braiding a 'normal braid'. After approx. 4cm, thread a bead on the wire that goes from the right side to the middle. Continue braiding until you pick up the wire on the right side and thread a new bead on it. Repeat this until you have strung 10 beads and then braid normal again for about 4cm. Make a knot with all 3 threads. Now cut 1 dark green strand at the knot (do this also at the first knot) and burn it flat against the knot. Then make a sliding knot as explained in the video below.
Bracelet with chaplet clasp:
Start by threading a stainless steel spacer bead. Then thread 1 side of the toggle clasp and go back through the spacer bead. The toggle clasp is now in the loop. Now we will make an adjustable knot. Hold the longest piece of satin cord below and the short piece above. Go with the short piece behind the long piece, below it, over and behind it again. While doing this, keep the loop created open. Repeat again and then go through both loops from the left side. These steps can also be seen in the attached image. Pull this tight and your first knot is created! Now do the same on the other side. Look before you tie the knot whether the bracelet fits. If it has a length of about 16cm it is good. The knots will then both be together in the middle of the bracelet. Cut off the ends and burn them against the knot. You can now put the bracelet on and take it off by using the toggle clasp.
