How to make Bohemian Dangle hoop earrings
These cute earrings are easy to make yourself with the wire wrapping technique! Of course you can make these earrings in different colors because of our wide range of glass charms.
Start with the wire wrapping technique as explained in the video below. Wrap the wire around the hoop 15 times and then use round nose pliers to turn an eye. You do this as follows:
Grasp the copper wire with the round nose pliers, wrap it around the round nose pliers (creating an eyelet) and continue wrapping again. Wrap about 15 times each time before making a new eye. You will need a total of 5 eyelets.
For the drop and glass beads, cut a piece of about 10cm. Thread the charm to the center of the copper wire and fold the wire in half. Now take the round pliers and hold both ends with them. With your other hand, fold the wire down and around itself. By holding the wire with the round pliers, an eye is created. Wrap the copper wire around, until the piece between the eyelet and the charm is completely covered. If necessary, cut the remaining piece and pinch it flat against the wrapped piece so it is no longer sharp. For this design you use 3 drop beads (2x champagne and 1x blue) and 1 glass charm square. So here you use this wrapping technique.
For the leftmost strand, use 2 beads of the mix glass charm shine. Take out the copper wire that is already in the bead and cut a new piece of copper wire of about 6cm. Thread the bead to the middle and take the round nose pliers again. Turn an eye and wrap the rest of the wire around itself. Now do the same on the other side. Repeat with the 2nd bead, but do the 2nd eyelet differently. Thread the eyelet of the 1st bead onto the copper wire and then twist an eyelet and finish. Now the 2 beads are already attached to each other. When all the charms are ready, cut the link chain to size. 1x 15 links, 2x 9 links and 1x 13 links. Then it's time to attach everything. We work from left to right.
Attach the 2 wrapped beads to the leftmost eyelet of the hoop using a 4mm jumpring. At the bottom of this strand attach a stainless steel heart, also through a 4mm jump ring. At the next eyelet you attach the link chain of 15 links. Attach the champagne drop bead to the jump ring and at the bottom of the chain you attach a charm from the mix.
The middle strand, is a chain link of 9 links. Attach a charm from the mix to this jump ring and at the bottom attach the teardrop bead in blue. The next strand consists of 13 links. Attach a bead from the mix to the 5th link (counting from the top) and at the bottom attach the stainless steel feather charm.
The last strand consists of 9 links and at the top you attach the square charm. At the bottom attach the 2nd champagne drop charm.
Finally, attach a freshwater shell charm to the center of the hoop and attach an earring hook. And then your earring is done!
