Making a Mixed and Colorful Katsuki Necklace
You can now easily make this katsuki bead necklace yourself! With our large assortment of katsuki disc fimo beads, you can make your own fun color combination.
Start by cutting about 50cm of S-lon cord. Thread one side of the toggle clasp and then thread 6 white katsuki beads, 6 colored katsuki beads and 6 more white ones. Now tie a double knot, leaving a short piece after the knot. Put some jewelry glue on the knot and thread a designer quality (DQ) bead. Pull the knot into it so it is hidden. Now repeat the following:
- 6 white katsuki beads
- 6 colored katsuki beads
- 6 White katsuki beads
- 1 DQ bead
When you have repeated this 16x total, you can attach the other part of the toggle clasp. Do this in the same way as at the beginning. Finally we attach the charms. Open a 6mm jumpring and hang the DQ rhombus charm on it, then attach it to the toggle clasp.
For the last charm we use the S-lon. Cut 2 pieces of about 40cm. and keep them together. Go with one side through the eye of the toggle clasp and fold it around. Make sure the 4 threads are now the same length and make a knot, by tying the thread around itself. Thread a DQ bead around 2 wires and knot with the outer 2, 2x a flat knot (click here for the explanation of a flat knot). Then thread 1 colored, 1 white and 1 more colored katsuki bead. Make 2 flat knots again and repeat this sequence until your charm is long enough. Finish with 2 flat knots and again make a knot as you did in the beginning. Cut the remaining strand of wire and untwist the wire end for a fun effect.
And then the necklace is done!
