Bracelet Set with S-lon and Miyuki beads
You can easily knot this cute bracelet set yourself! In our assortment you will find many more colors of s-lon thread and miyuki beads, so you can choose a nice combination yourself.
Twist Bracelet:
Start by cutting 2 pieces of S-lon thread of about 60cm and 2x 30cm. Tie the threads together, leaving about 5cm free between the ends and the knot (you'll use this later to attach the slipknot). Watch the video tutorial below, which explains the flat knot.
To get the bracelet rotating, always tie the knot on the same side.
Add miyuki beads every few knots, by threading them on the 2 outer threads. Thread the miyuki 6/0 around the 2 middle threads and continue to knot around the bead. When you think the bracelet is long enough, tie a regular knot and cut off the 2 threads you used to knot. Use a lighter to melt the ends and make sure the knot cannot come loose. Thread a miyuki 6/0 bead onto the 2 middle strands and also thread the other end of the middle strands, in the opposite direction through this bead. Make a slip knot around this bead and burnish the ends here as well. Measure how far the bracelet should open and tie a knot in the threads so the slipknot cannot slip off. Cut off the remaining string and your bracelet is ready!
Bracelet with miyuki 6/0:
Actually, this bracelet is the same as described above, however now you switch sides so the pattern doesn't twist. You also thread more beads here. Between each bead, you knot 2 flat buy before threading the new bead. Make sure you don't tighten the first knot too hard after the bead, or the bead will be pushed back and not stay in the middle. The 2nd knot should be pulled tight. This bracelet is also finished with a sliding knot.
Bracelet with miyuki 11/0:
The S-lon wire is ideal for threading miyuki 11/0 beads. Start by cutting approx. 25cm of S-lon wire. Then thread a pinch bead and a carabiner. Go back through the pinch bead with the wire, pull it on and leave a small piece. Pinch the bead and cut 1 end off. Thread on the longest piece the miyuki beads. When your bracelet is long enough, thread another pinch bead and the extension chain. Again, go back through the pinch bead, pull this on and pinch it tight. Cut the end off and melt it flat.
And now the bracelet set is finished!
