How to make a Necklace with Gemstone Chips

This fun set of necklaces is easy to make yourself! Of course you can also wear the necklaces on their own, or combine it with these cute bracelets and these earrings for a complete look! In our shop we have a wide range of gemstone chips, so you can choose other beautiful colors as well. 

Gemstone chips necklace and link chain: 
Start by opening the link chain at approx 16cm. Do this 2x and then cut about 20cm of steel wire. Pass the steel wire through the last link of the piece of chain. Fold the steel wire in half and thread a 2mm crimp bead. Pinch the bead and start threading the gemstone chips. After this, thread another 2mm crimp bead and go through the last link of the 2nd part of the chain. Then go back through the crimp bead and pinch the bead in place. Cut off the excess steel wire. To finish your work nicely, you can use the crimp bead covers. You slide this over the crimp bead and then pinch shut. Now take a 4mm jumpring and attach the extension chain. For the other side attach a carabiner. The necklace is now ready!

Steel beading wire 0.45mm

Necklace with charm:
Start by opening one link at approx 50cm. Attach a lobster clasp to one end and an extension chain to the other. Use a 4mm jumpring for this. For the charm, take a head pin and thread a spacer, a gemstone chip and another spacer. Now cut off the staple, but leave enough room to be able to twist an eyelet on it. Now open the snap on and first thread the coin charm and then the head pin with the chip. Close the snap on and thread your charm on the chain. The necklace is now finished!

Choker with seed beads:
Start by cutting approx 75cm of nylon wire. Thread a carabiner and fold the nylon in half. Make sure both ends are equal and thread a pinch bead. Pinch the bead and start threading the seed beads. When the chain is long enough (about 34cm), thread a 2mm pinch bead and the extension chain. Then go back through the pinch bead and pinch the bead in place. Your necklace is now ready!
