History

Labradorite was first found in Canada around 1770. However, there are also writings found from the first century of a stone that looks like labradorite, but it is not certain if it is really about labradorite. In addition, there is another species found in Finland, it is called Spectrolite and was first found in the 20th century. The Spectrolite gets its name from the beautiful glow that occurs in all colors of the spectrum.
