Supplies
Large Patina Charms Bronze Chestnut Leaf
Stainless Steel Headpins Gold
Stainless Steel Chapter Clasp Gold
Stainless Steel Leaf Charm 18x10mm Gold
Natural Wooden Beads Red Brown 8~8.5mm
1 meter Stainless Steel Necklace Oval 7x4mm Gold
Step-By-Step
1. Thread a wooden bead onto a staple pin. Use roundnosed pliers to make a loop at the end of the staple pin. Repeat this process until you reach the circumference of your wrist.
2. Connect two chained beads together each time by hooking the loops together and closing them with flatbed pliers.
3. Insert the large (oak leaf) charm between the chained beads by attaching it in the same way, so that the charm hangs nicely between the beads,
4. Cut a piece of jasseron chain to the same length as the chained beads. On four random links, attach four gold colored (leaf) charms by using a jumpring.
5. Make each end of the chained beads and jasseron a small ring with a pair of roundnosed pliers.
6. Attach both ends (both beads and chain) to the chapter clasp, making sure the jumpring is secure.
Handy! The video tutorial below shows you how to chain a necklace or in this case a bracelet using staple pins!
Tip:
- The combination of the wooden beads and leaf charms creates a warm, autumnal look but of course you can try it with different beads and charms. That way the same technique suits every season!
