Step-By-Step
Earrings
1. For this you will need seven Amazonite beads of 6mm and three of 4mm for each piece, so twenty beads total for one pair of earrings.
2. Thread the Amazonite beads onto a staple pin, cut off the rest of the staple pin you are not using, keeping enough for a loop on each side. Use the roundnosed pliers to make mthe loop so that the bead is secured.
Handy! The video tutorial below shows you how to easily twist the perfect loops for staple pins.
3. Make several spacers as shown and attach them together.
4. Attach the spacer Amazonite beads to the fan (or other) charm using jum rings and attach the fan to an earring hook by bending open the eye of the earring hook, hanging the charm with beads on it and then gently bending it closed again.
5. On the remaining open holes in the fan charm, you can choose to attach a piece of extension chain or jasseron to it for a playful effect.
6. Make a second earring by following the same steps.
Necklace
1. Thread a bead onto a staple pin and bend a loop with the roundnosed pliers after cutting off the remaining staple pin, as you did earlier for the earrings. Repeat for each bead you want to use, you can make the necklace as long as you want.
2. Attach the Amazonite beads with the loops together to form a necklace. Open the loop of one bead with the flatbed pliers, connect it to the loop of another bead, and bend the loop closed again. Continue until you have a necklace of beads at the desired length.
3. Attach a carabiner to one end of the beaded chain and a jumpring to the other, or use an extension chain if you want to be able to adjust the length.
4. Hang a charm of your choice in the center of the chain through a jumpring to complete the necklace.
Bracelet
1. For the bracelet, cut a piece of steel wire long enough to fit comfortably on your wrist with a little extra length for just attaching the clasp.
2. Attach a pinch bead to one end of the steel wire. Then thread Amazonite chip beads in a desired pattern onto the steel wire until you reach the correct length.
3. Attach a pinch bead to one end of the steel wire and then the heart-shaped carabiner screw clasp. Squeeze the pinch bead closed with the flatbed pliers to firmly secure the clasp. Check that everything is tight and the bracelet is secure.
Tips
- Experiment with the size of the beads for different looks.
- You may choose to add additional beads for more color or meaning in your jewelry set.
- Be sure to tighten the staple pin loops securely so the beads cannot come loose.
