Boho Earrings with C-lon Thread
These bohemian charms are ideal for making fun earrings. Because of our wide range of c-lon thread and miyuki beads, you can make your own beautiful combination.
Start by cutting approximately 30cm of c-lon thread. Thread the wire through the eye of the needle and start at the middle eyelet in the tip at the bottom of the earring. Pass your needle and thread through here, leaving about 4cm of thread to make a knot later. Next, thread 18 miyuki delicas and pass your needle and thread through the eye at the top of the diamond shape (not the eye sticking out at the top, this is for attaching the earring hook). Now go back through all the beads with your needle and thread and when you come out at the bottom at the beginning, tie a double knot in the thread with both ends. Put a bit of glue on the knot and push the needle back up through all the beads. Hide the knot in 1 of the beads and the first row is done.
We continue right away with the 2nd row. At the bottom of the diamond is a whole row of eyelets. We used the middle one, in the tip. We will now skip 3 eyelets and so go through the 4th eyelet, counting from the row of beads. We make this row without beads and you go back to the eyelet at the top. Now do the same on the other side of the middle row and go back through the top eye again. Keep the thread tight to prevent it from hanging.
Now make another row of beads. Thread 13 beads and put your needle through the eye, 3 spots further than the 2nd row. Go up again by putting your needle and thread back through all the beads. Go through the top eyelet and repeat this operation on the other side.
We end with a row with no beads. Again, skip 3 eyelets counted from the last row of beads. Pass your needle and thread through the top eye again and repeat on the other side.
Finally we are going to tie off. When you have gone through the top eyelet, take your needle through one of the last 2 rows of beads. Insert your needle back about 4 beads and make a double knot around the c-lon. Put a little glue on the knot and insert your needle a few beads further, hiding the knot. Cut the wire and attach the earring hook. The earrings are now ready to be worn!
